Therapy, evaluations, and planning support

Amanda works with children (ages 5+), teens, adults, and families. She does not offer couples therapy, and ADHD evaluations are for children and teens only.

What sessions look like

Starting therapy is easier when you know what you're walking into. Here's how the work usually unfolds — though Amanda adjusts the pace to the person in front of her.

  1. 01

    First, a conversation

The first session is mostly getting to know each other — what brought you in, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping changes. No scripts, no clipboard interrogation.

  2. 02

    A plan you help build

Together you name what to work on and how you'll know it's working. Amanda is collaborative and direct: she'll tell you what she's seeing and check that it lands.

  3. 03

    Ongoing sessions

Typically 50 minutes, usually weekly to start, then spaced out as things steady. In person in Doylestown or by telehealth — whichever fits your week.

  4. 04

    Communication and trust building

With the client's consent, Amanda can bring a parent, partner, or other family member into the work so everyone is on the same page. It's always the client's choice — never assumed — and the goal is stronger communication and trust, not shared secrets.
